Types of Life Insurance
There are two primary types of Life insurance: Term Life insurance and Permanent Life insurance. Term Life insurance is designed to last a specific amount of time and Permanent Life insurance is designed to extend out for a persons full lifetime.
Two of the most important issues revolving around Life insurance are the types of life insurance available and what circumstances they are most appropriate for. In many cases, Term life insurance can be used to cover an immediate need for Life insurance that eventually will go away. There is a common misconception however that once a person reaches retirement age there will no longer be a need for Life insurance. More often than not, we see people reaching this age and not actually wanting their Life insurance to dissappear. In many cases, it is best to blend the two types of Life insurance. This will allow for the Term insurance to provide protection during the years it is needed most, but also for a percentage of coverage to extend into the later years in life.
Calculating your Life insurance needs, determining the amount of Life insurance and types of Life insurance you need can be fairly difficult.
